It’s Friday which means it is time for yet another installment of Bootleg Roundup. Last week we shared with you clips of MegaDave making fun of Americans, Local H covering TV on The Radio and more. So let’s see what we have in store for the final Friday of October.
This week we kick things off in white washed Eastern Washington. A$AP Rocky paid a visit to the town of Pullman (home of Washington State University) where he shared the struggle of a black man trying to survive in a white world. Check out his performance of Black Mane for the Cougar Nation down below.
From Pullman to Toronto where Cat Power did her thing at the Kool Haus this past Saturday night. You can read our review of the evening here, then check out her take on Silent Machine down below.
The 26th Annual Bridge School Benefit was held in the Bay Area last weekend. Having already shared with you footage of Jack White as well as Neil Young joining Guns N’ Roses we figured why not share with you something that floated under the radar this week. Check out The Flaming Lips giving their 1999 classic Waiting For A Superman the acoustic treatment.
As you probably know, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have been on a massive tour of venues where NBA teams make a living. The bad news is that Flea shared via his Twitter account that the
Seattle Supersonics Oklahoma City Thunder were not very warm to the boys from Fairfax High School. The good news is that didn’t stop them from rocking the Chesapeake Energy Arena. To read our review of the night click here, then hit the play button down below for a tasty take on Soul To Squeeze.
As we reported yesterday, the Scissor Sisters are the latest group to go on indefinite hiatus. The band announced the news during a recent show at Roundhouse in London. Better enjoy the band performing their song Inevitable down below because chances are we will have Chinese Democracy Part II (Electric Boogaloo) long before we hear new music from Scissor Sisters.
Finally we bring you a double shot of Radiohead covers from The Darkness. The lads from England (The Darkness, not Radiohead) performed two shows in the states this past week. The first one happened to go down in New York while the other kicked the crap out of downtown Los Angeles. You can check out covers of Street Spirit (Fade Out) from both coasts down below.
