It’s rather obvious that the end times are here. The Mayan calendar comes to a close on December 21st, we have the first Christian Muslim fighting a Mormon to be the leader of the free world and we take a stand on human rights issues by eating (or not eating) a chicken sandwich. Oh and Muse released a dubstep song.
The 2nd Law: Unsustainable was distributed to fans who pre-ordered the band’s upcoming LP. Moments later a video (which you can check out below) was posted to YouTube for the bass dropping feel good hit of the year. Muse front man Matthew Bellamy recently shared his thoughts on dubstep with the Huffington Post.
“Some of that hard dubstep and brostep coming from America, is capturing the imagination.” The moshpit has moved from guitars and gone towards the laptop, so with that song we’re trying to see if we can challenge the laptop. We created something that was dubsteppy but we wanted to see if we could do it with real instruments.”
Muse is set to close the 2012 Olympic Games in London this weekend. Chances are if you live in America, NBC will cut off the performance to show you a commercial for a sitcom that will be cancelled by Christmas.
