[UPDATE, 01/10] The full lineup for the Brazilian edition of the festival has been announced as well, adding The Killers as a headliner, along with The Flaming Lips, Cake, and several other local acts. Other than the poster below, a nice-looking trailer was filmed in São Paulo, where the festival takes place.
After its solid start in 2011, and an iteration in 2012 that successfully expanded to Brazil, the Lollapalooza Chile festival has been bringing an amazing concert experience to South American territory. The 2013 lineup has just been announced, and it’s quite a stunner:
Featuring expected headliners Pearl Jam and The Black Keys, the festival’s roster will also include a surprising appearance of what is so far the earliest announced gig by Queens of the Stone Age in 2013 – who will hopefully be touring behind their sixth LP by then.
Other announced acts include Deadmau5, The Hives, Franz Ferdinand, Tomahawk, and a first-ever double appearance by A Perfect Circle and Puscifer (both fronted by Maynard James Keenan).
The festival will take place during the weekend of April 6th & 7th. The Brazilian edition will go on for three days rather than 2, during the Easter weekend of March 29th, 30th & 31st. The full lineup for the Brazilian edition is too be announced soon, sharing the large majority of its acts with the Chilean counterpart (save for local bands), and being rumored to add The Killers as a final headliner.
