Jimmy Eat World released a preview of their newly-announced studio album Damage minutes ago, in the form of a new song called I Will Steal You Back (no relation to Death Cab for Cutie’s I Will Possess Your Heart).
Stream the track, which is pretty much the Jimmy Eat World we’ve all come to know, below:
Damage is expected out on June 11 via the band’s new label home, RCA. If you recall, Damage was produced by the great Alain Johannes, who perhaps had a hand in the band’s decision to record the album using mostly analog equipment.
Said JEW vocalist Jim Adkins to Rolling Stone:
“We used tape for the first time in a long time, as well as computer…I hate saying more raw, but it’s more raw and warm. We just set up all around Alain’s house. There were instruments in his bedroom and drums in his living room. Just noise all day long. There was less an emphasis on it being clean and perfect.”
Stay tuned for any more previews of the album.
