After recently getting really off-the-wall, nightmarishly crazy with Bon Iver in the new video for Ashes in the Air, Wayne Coyne and The Flaming Lips are ready to unleash The Terror on the world.
The twisted new studio album doesn’t officially come out until the 16th, but you can currently stream the whole thing over at NPR. It is also streaming down below.
The Terror is comprised of nine songs stretching across fifty-five minutes of music, which serves as the follow-up to the Lips’ 2009 album Embryonic.
On their official site, the band reveals a bit about the album’s nine songs – specifically that they:
“…reflect a darker-hued spectrum than previous works, along with a more inward-looking lyrical perspective than one might expect — but then again, maybe not. It’s up to you, the listener, to decide what it means to you.
