Beck‘s new album Morning Phase doesn’t come out until February 25, but thanks to NPR you can take a listen to the record right now.
If you assumed, based on the strength of the lead single Blue Moon and the song Waking Light, that Morning Phase would be the atmospheric follow-up to 2002’s Sea Change, you’d be correct.
A listen through of the new album finds Beck returning to moody introspection and reflection once again…and it’s pretty great (as long as you dig sad Beck).
If you’re looking for the Sexx Laws/Devil’s Haircut Beck, it ain’t here.
