While Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers (and Flea‘s unplugged bass) took all of the world’s musical attention on Super Bowl Sunday, Dave Grohl and the Foo Fighters had their own fun the night before.
Taking part in the heavily branded Bud Light Hotel concerts that took place on a docked cruise ship, the Foos blasted their way through a two-hour set that was supposedly going to be webcast online.
For some reason, it seems that only 45 minutes of their set made it onto the webcast, but the 45 minutes includes performances of All My Life, My Hero, The Pretender, Rope, Times Like These, and other hits from their endless cavalcade of crowd-pleasers. Watch for yourself:
We’re still waiting to hear just what Dave and company have in store for the follow-up to 2011’s Wasting Light, but chances are we’ll hear sooner rather than later – Dave can’t keep quiet very long, as we all know.
In the meantime, enjoy the rehearsal footage of Dave’s Grammy Awards appearance with QOTSA, Nine Inch Nails and Lindsey Buckingham since CBS saw fit to truncate the performance that aired during the show itself.
