Last year Weezer announced they were heading into the studio in January to record a new album with The Cars frontman and producer Ric Ocasek, who also was in charge of their break-through debut, lovingly known as The Blue Album, and coinciding with the 20th anniversary of that era-defining record.

It’s certainly hopeful listening to this song, which might arguably be one their best sounding in a long time. Let’s wait to hear how the rest of the sessions turn out.
