If I had been asked to anthropomorphize Radiohead as an animal, I probably would have gone with the screech owl. Graceful, occasionally brutal, more interesting at night, funny looking eyes. According to guitarist/composer Johnny Greenwood in an interview with Nashville Cream, however, they’re a slower species. In response to a question about an update on their next record, Johnny had this to say:
Well we’re meeting up at the end of the summer, and we’ll make a plan. But, you know, we’re a slow-moving animal, always have been. I guess we’ll decide then what we do next.
Which, I suppose, is a long-winded way to say that Radiohead will be getting together this summer to work on LP #9. But I wouldn’t hold your breath.
