Watch Josh Homme Debut New Song ‘Villains Of Circumstance’ in London

Queens Of The Stone Age, Music

This Monday, Queens Of The Stone Age frontman Josh Homme did something a bit unusual: He performed a solo acoustic gig at the Meltdown Festival in London, an event curated by Unkle’s James Lavelle. The setlist consisted of material that usually pops up in QOTSA’s acoustic performances and some cover songs (notably, Mark Lanegan’s One Hundred Days, featuring Lanegan himself on vocals). However, one particular moment should cause more excitement among fans that weren’t able to attend the gig: Homme played a brand new song, titled Villains Of Circumstance.

Fortunately, someone captured footage of it, and it’s already up on YouTube. Though the picture isn’t that great, you can hear the song pretty well. Watch Homme debut Villains Of Circumstance below:

QOTSA have a handful of US and Europe dates before they finally head down to South America for their first-ever non-festival tour in the continent.

Thanks to QOTSA Archive for the tip.
