We had planned to hit the Comedy Store in L.A. last night to see a few comedy heroes, only to discover that our tickets were for next week. So Skwerl and I headed back to the AQ fort, where a night of flowing whiskey and high-powered edibles unfolded into a new Antiquiet Podcast.
It’s a celebration of new music at the onset, with a densely packed assortment of fresh goodness including tremendously strong offerings from Battle Tapes, ’68 and Goldfrapp. We also shine some light on the “My Way Killings” in the Philippines, where a wrong Sinatra song at karaoke can result in murder. Because really, that is a song for unrepentant assholes.
Then there’s the celebration of the hilariously awesome Chuck Berry + John Lennon incident with Yoko Ono (as brilliantly told by Bill Burr), and we share some typically embarrassing personal stories of old before zeroing in on the real meaning of life. Because who better to deliver motivational inspiration than two whiskey-licked pricks ranting in the middle of the night? That’s right, fucking nobody.
