While rumors of a new album have been swirling for months, Phish front man Trey Anastasio confirmed earlier today that the band will be entering the studio “pretty soon.”
Anastasio sat down earlier today with XRT Radio Chicago to plug his latest solo release Traveler. During the nearly 13 minute interview, the Phish front man shares about the recording process of Traveler, what it’s like to live in New York City and discusses what he learned from doing shows with various symphonies including the Los Angeles Philharmonic. You can listen to the entire interview down below thanks to the fine folks at YEM Blog.
As any Phish fan can tell you, 2013 marks the band’s 30th anniversary. The group will get the party started at the end of December with a four night run at Madison Square Garden to close out 2012. The band’s ticket mail order period is now closed so fans will have to try their luck when the remainder of tickets goes on sale this Saturday at Noon EST via Ticketmaster.
