Listen to AQP#59 – The 10 Best Albums Turning 10 This Year below:
Zac is a tasmanian devil of enthusiasm & productivity, a prolific music journalist, with bylines at Uproxx, Rolling Stone, Stereogum and more – he also does A&R for Roadrunner Records and manages artists like Dogleg and Retirement Party. Zac was also a daily writer on Antiquiet from 2012 to 2017 or so, when he was just 16, and the kid was as invested and excited to grow and learn as anyone I’ve ever met. Tenaciously hungry to get in the game, he was reliable as hell and always had a shit eating grin on his face while doing it.
What a weirdly pivotal time stamp of a year 2011 was. Steve Jobs Died. The Fukushima nuclear meltdown caused worldwide chaos. Osama Bin Laden was killed. Gaddaffi was killed on live TV, getting stabbed in the ass after being dug out of a hole in the ground. And the owner of a big game wild animal park in Ohio opened all the animal cages before killing himself, which led to a huge operation to hunt down and kill about 50 enormous monsters who finally got to enjoy a few hours of chaotic freedom in their lives before being put down.
