There is a saying amongst fans of Phish…Never Sleep On A Sunday Show. For whatever reason, Trey, Mike, Jon and Page seem to go a little harder when performing on the final day of the weekend. While not exactly four men from Vermont stretching goofy songs well past the twenty minute mark, Game of Thrones over the past few years has become the must see Sunday night television program. With both the band and the show having a rabid and dedicated following, it was just a matter of time before someone combined the two.
The result is Limb By Lannister, a mash up featuring a late 90’s number by Phish called Limb By Limb and footage from the past 3 ½ seasons of Game of Thrones. Even if you have never heard a Phish song in your life, Game of Thrones fans will be easily amused by how well the lyrics match up with the hit HBO show. Let it be known that if you are not caught up with Game of Thrones, you may not want to hit play below as the video is filled with several key shots from Season 4.
