Courtney Love Attacks Fan, Grohl, Corgan, Etc.

Sunday night at the SWU Festival in Paulínia, Brazil, Courtney Love’s Hole headlined the “New Stage” for the event’s second out of three days. Being who she is, the show quickly went awry when Love’s signature insane conspiratorial rambling occurred. Some of it was actually quite noteworthy, due to its relation to her deceased husband Kurt Cobain and his Nirvana bandmate (and current Foo Fighter) Dave Grohl.

First, the ever-delusionally spastic Love publicly asked for “a chapstick for my herpes sore,” and babbled on about how Billy Corgan wrote nearly all the songs on The Smashing Pumpkins’ classic albums Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness about her, adding that the Disarm lyric “The killer in me is the killer in you” came from a letter she wrote Corgan. A while after flashing her breasts and saying that she’s allowed to use the word “fag” because she’s “a gay icon,” Courtney spotted someone holding a picture of Kurt Cobain in the crowd. The following discourse ensued:

While it’s understandable that she’s upset about the picture, Courtney somehow changed the subject to Dave Grohl, stating: “You weren’t fucking married to him, I was. You didn’t get kicked out of a band by him, like Dave, he did. Go see the fucking Foo Fighters and do that shit.” After the tantrum, she left the stage. As seen in the video, Hole’s guitarist comes back onstage and demands that crowd to yell “Foo Fighters are gay” in order for his boss to reemerge from the shadows. When Courtney finally returned, she menacingly offered, in a thinly veiled dig at Grohl: “I don’t care what you listen to at home, but if a guy takes off money off my kid’s table, fuck him.”

It became clear that she was referring to her and Kurt’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, claiming that Dave Grohl makes “millions” and “steals” from Frances by not sharing with her. After performing a horrific rendition of U2’s The Fly, Courtney got back on the subject, stating, “If you don’t write a song, you don’t get publishing, you don’t steal money from the child, the mom, the sister.”

After all the years of drug abuse her mind went through, it seems that, in Courtney’s point of view, Dave Grohl didn’t really write any songs in Nirvana, and therefore is not allowed to collect royalties from it, especially since the band he started afterwards continues to be successful. Enjoying those benefits apparently means that Dave is somehow stealing from Kurt Cobain’s daughter. We wouldn’t expect anything more reasonable from Courtney Love in 2011.

We think Dave said it best:

Another song Courtney Love, so vain, thinks is about her (except she’d be right this time).
