Late Wednesday night Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears posted something that fans of the Scissters wouldn’t even bat an eye at:
I just got to do something insanely cool with some fierce Queens.

However, today he clarified a bit. The Queens he was with? Turns out it was Josh Homme and the motherfucking Queens Of The Stone Age.

After singing together for awhile, Josh Homme and I settled down to watch some educational films. #newQueen http://t.co/GJEWCp4b

Antiquiet has confirmed that the lead Scisster himself is a guest on the new Queens record. This is in addition to Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, Nick Oliveri and… shit, have we forgotten anyone else?
Fans will remember a particular fondness between Queens frontman Joshua Homme and the Scissor Sisters crew, from earlier this year when Homme delivered what may be the best infomercial of all time for the band’s new album:
Shears has long been a fan of Queens, and even issued a public plea over a year ago to work with the band on their next album.
Stay tuned for more. This shit is bananas. Codeine-laced, running-in-a-dream bananas.
