Pearl Jam aren’t ones to sit around and make fans wait for them to do something for very long. That’s why people so eagerly awaited rumor to turn into fact when the calendar switched over to 2016 and the band hadn’t made any concrete announcements for the year. Yesterday they put all the speculation to bed and announced their North American touring plans for 2016. Most of the dates take place in April and May, although they’ve also announced a headlining spot at Bonaroo in June and a pair of multi-night appearances at Major League Baseball stadiums in August. Right now it’s looking decidedly like an east coast-centered tour, maybe west coast dates will be announced at some point around the later appearances? Don’t blame Antiquiet if they aren’t. We just want you to feel better.
Ten Club members who signed up before the 18th can already take part in the pre-sale for most of the tickets, not including festival dates or the MLB dates. The rest of you can fight for seats like the dogs you are. Ticket information for those four shows in Boston and Chicago will be announced in the next few weeks. The exact day of their appearance at Bonaroo is also still to be announced by the organizers.
