An immeasurably awesome evening full of singalongs, laughter, tears and remembrance.
The Forum was packed with members of Chris Cornell’s bands Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave on Wednesday night, as well as a far-reaching collection of artists including Foo Fighters, Metallica, Josh Homme, Fiona Apple, Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile.
I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell featured 42 performances and a a dizzying amount of guests, with surprise collaborations and jaw-dropping performances. A few highlights included Dave Grohl singing “Show Me How to Live” with Audioslave, Josh Homme’s solo take on “Rusty Cage,” Taylor Momsen’s Soundgarden collab for “Drawing Flies,” and, somehow, an incredible rendition of “Seasons” by Adam Levine and Stone Gossard.
